Project Overview The Delhi Gate Flyover is a vital urban infrastructure project at one of Surat’s most historic and congested crossroads. Designed to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow and enhance connectivity in the busy Central Zone, the flyover addresses the severe bottleneck at the Delhi Gate junction. CASAD's role as the Structural Design Consultant was paramount in engineering a robust and aesthetically pleasing elevated corridor that integrates seamlessly with the heritage significance of the surrounding area.


Casad's Scope of Work CASAD's mandate was to deliver a complete, high-precision structural design package for the entire elevated structure, approaches, and retaining elements. Our scope of work included:

  • Structural System Design: Comprehensive design and analysis of the optimal elevated structure to meet traffic load requirements and specified clearance envelopes.

  • Foundation Engineering Detail: Designing the deep Pile Foundation system, including pile load tests and detailing, to manage the substantial column loads imposed by the flyover.

  • Urban Interface Detailing: Specialized structural detailing for cantilever portions, crash barriers, and expansion joints that interface with existing road infrastructure.

  • Proof Checking Support: Providing documentation and support for the structural integrity verification process by third-party proof-checking consultants.
