Project Overview The 8-lane access-controlled Vadodara-Mumbai expressway is part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (1350km) connecting Delhi to Mumbai in mere 12 hours as compared to the current 24 hours. The expressway is on a green field alignment where extensive land acquisition has been done. This route will form an important backbone of our nation, connecting all the vital cities between Mumbai and Delhi, which will boost trade and the economy. The package includes the design of various Minor Bridges, Major Bridges, FoBs, VoP’s, Interchange, Vehicular Underpass, LVUPs, SVUPs, Canal Bridges, and various Box Culverts.

Casad's Scope of Work CASAD was responsible for the detailed structural design of a massive and diverse array of cross-drainage and interchange structures within this package. Our scope of work included providing comprehensive, high-quality designs for all structures along this crucial 8-lane corridor:

• Mass-Scale Structural Design: Designing the various Minor Bridges and Major Bridges required across the package.

• Grade Separation Structures: Engineering specialized designs for all connectivity structures, including Foot Over Bridges (FoBs) and Vehicular Overpasses (VoP’s), to ensure seamless movement and safety for all users.

• Underpass Structures: Providing precise structural solutions for various Vehicular Underpasses (VUPs), Light Vehicle Underpasses (LVUPs), and Small Vehicle Underpasses (SVUPs), crucial for maintaining an access-controlled highway environment.

• Hydraulic and Cross-Drainage Structures: Designing structural solutions for Canal Bridges and various Box Culverts to manage water crossings and drainage across the new greenfield alignment.

• Interchange Design: Structural detailing for the complex Interchange elements, facilitating controlled, high-speed access to and from the expressway.
