Project Overview
This vital project involved the gauge conversion of the 39.85 km railway line between Adraj Moti and Vijapur, part of the Ahmedabad Division on Western Railway, executed under an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) mode. With a project cost of 266 Crore, this initiative is crucial for upgrading and modernizing India's railway network, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring seamless connectivity. The project encompasses the design and construction of numerous bridges and associated railway infrastructure to support the new broad-gauge line.
Casad's Scope of Work Our comprehensive scope of work for this EPC project covered detailed hydraulic and structural design for all bridges, as well as the design of various ancillary railway buildings.
Bridge Design & Documentation:
Preparation of detailed Hydraulic reports and General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for all 46 bridges (Major & Minor).
Structural designs for PSC U-Slab, Composite Girder, RCC Slab, PSC Slab, and RCC Box superstructures.
Designs for both Open and Pile foundations, adhering to RDSO superstructure standards.
Preparation of detailed design drawings for all 46 Major & Minor Bridges.
Ancillary Railway Infrastructure Design:
Preparation of detailed GADs and design drawings for a total of 6 staff quarters and station buildings at different railway stations along the converted line.
