Project Overview
This ambitious project involved the construction of a four-lane elevated flyover in Jamnagar, specifically at the critical Saat Rasta Junction. With a project cost of 198 Crores, this initiative by the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation aimed to drastically improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and enhance overall urban mobility in the city. The flyover's design includes a unique circular bridge connecting the main bridge portion to its approaches, providing an efficient and aesthetically integrated solution for this bustling intersection.
Casad's Scope of Work Our involvement in this project encompassed the comprehensive construction of this multi-faceted elevated flyover, focusing on delivering a high-quality, durable, and functional infrastructure.
Foundation and Substructure Construction: Execution of robust pile foundations and RCC pier caps, forming the essential support system for the entire flyover.
Superstructure Erection: Installation of 25.0-meter PSC Voided Slabs for the main bridge and various sections, ensuring precise alignment and structural integrity.
Circular Bridge Construction: Specialized construction of the unique circular bridge at Saat Rasta Junction, requiring intricate planning and execution to integrate with the main flyover and its approaches.
Carriageway Development: Construction of both 2-lane and 4-lane divided carriageway sections to optimize traffic flow and capacity.
Quality Assurance: Implementing stringent quality control measures throughout all construction phases, from material procurement to final finishes, ensuring the longevity and safety of the flyover.
