Project Overview
This project involved the construction of a major flyover bridge at Shatipura Junction on the SP Ring Road in Ahmedabad. With a project cost of 81.90 Crore, this infrastructure was a key initiative by AUDA to improve traffic flow and significantly reduce congestion at a major intersection. The flyover provides a crucial bypass for through traffic, enhancing connectivity and contributing to the overall efficiency of the city's urban transport network.
Casad's Scope of Work Our involvement in this project centered on the detailed structural components and construction methodologies employed to deliver this flyover.
Construction of Flyover: Execution of the main flyover portion, including the casting and erection of both the 24.050-meter PSC girders and the 45-meter PSC box girders, ensuring adherence to precise engineering specifications.
Approaches Construction: Building the Bopal (177m) and Sanathal (280m) approaches, seamlessly integrating the flyover with the existing road network.
Quality Assurance: Implementing stringent quality control measures throughout all construction phases, from material selection to final finishes, to ensure the longevity and safety of the flyover.
Urban Infrastructure Expertise: Applying expertise in urban infrastructure development to manage the complexities of constructing a large-scale flyover at a busy junction with minimal disruption to ongoing traffic.
