Project Overview
Casad Infra Solutions has played a key role in the engineering and visualization of the iconic Cable-Stayed Extradosed Bridge at Apollo Junction—an urban flyover on the high-traffic Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar state highway. The bridge is designed to ease congestion at one of the city's busiest intersections and accommodate future infrastructure like underpasses and public space integration.
This landmark structure includes a 6-lane carriageway with pedestrian footpaths, supported by a 38m high central pylon. The main span arrangement (50m + 100m + 50m) is flanked by approach spans of 8 x 35m, each constructed using PSC post-tensioned box-type superstructures. The hybrid design of cable-stayed and prestressed concrete allows an uninterrupted 100m central span, balancing aesthetics with function.
Casad's Scope of Work
3D BIM Modeling: Developed a detailed REVIT-based model to capture structural complexity and facilitate coordination.
Rendering & Visualization: Used Lumion and other software to produce high-quality visualizations for design reviews and stakeholder presentations.
Engineering Support: Provided structural detailing and design assistance for the cable-supported and PSC elements.
Fabrication Drawings: Created fabrication-ready documentation for on-site execution and assembly.
Capabilities in Action
Hybrid Bridge Design Expertise: Delivered robust support for a bridge combining cable-stayed and PSC technologies.
Coordination Across Agencies: Enabled seamless approval processes through accurate visualizations and BIM deliverables.
Urban Integration: Contributed to the transformation of under-flyover areas into planned public spaces.
Future-Ready Design: Assisted in incorporating infrastructure for services, drainage, and lighting within the structural system.
