Project Overview This project focuses on the expansion of the existing Sabarmati Wagon Care Centre, a crucial facility for the maintenance and servicing of railway wagons. Commissioned by GATI SHAKTI (WR), this brownfield project aims to significantly enhance the center's capacity and operational efficiency. The expansion involves the design of additional shed structures, which are vital for supporting the increased workload and ensuring the continued smooth functioning of the Western Railway's wagon fleet.

Casad's Scope of Work Our comprehensive scope of work for the Sabarmati Wagon Care Centre project involved providing detailed design for the entire brownfield expansion, covering multiple specialized engineering disciplines.

• Detailed Design: Full detailed design of the entire brownfield project, ensuring seamless integration with existing structures and future operational needs.

• Architectural Design: Developing architectural layouts and designs for the shed extensions, focusing on functionality, optimal space utilization, and adherence to industrial standards.

• Structural Design: Comprehensive structural analysis and design for all new shed components, ensuring stability, durability, and compliance with railway infrastructure standards. This includes the design of foundations, columns, beams, and roofing systems.

• MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Design: Detailed design for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems required for the expanded facility, ensuring efficient operation and safety.

• Geotechnical Investigation & Design: Conducting geotechnical studies and providing design recommendations for foundations, considering soil conditions and load-bearing requirements.
